The Malyshev Factory (ZIM), formerly the Kharkiv Locomotive Factory (KhPZ), is a state-owned heavy equipment manufacturer. It is one of the oldest and largest armored vehicle production sites in Ukraine. The factory is integrated into the state conglomerate Ukroboronprom and works closely with the Morozov Design Bureau (KMDB) for chassis design and the Kharkiv Engine Design Bureau (KEDB) for propulsion. Historically famous for the T-34, it now produces modern tanks, diesel engines, and civilian equipment.
