The Kramatorsk Heavy Duty Machine Tool Building Plant (KZTS or KZVV) is a pillar of Ukrainian heavy industry, specializing in the design and production of heavy machine tools, high-precision lathes, and deep drilling systems. Although its civilian catalog is vast (energy, metallurgy, railway), the company has become strategic for Ukrainian defense by developing and producing the 155 mm 2S22 Bohdana self-propelled howitzer, the first locally designed NATO-standard howitzer. Its production capabilities for gun barrels and artillery systems have been massively increased to support the war effort.
